This week's featured content is the PDHPE (Personal Development, Health & Physical Education) website. Unbeknownst to many in the school, the PDHPE site is one of the most well-resourced faculty sites on the whole intranet, with many useful and relevant documents and guides to help students.

Front Page

From the front page of the faculty site, you can reach the three main content areas: (1) Course Outlines and Syllabus Resources, (2) Student Resources and (3) Sport. You can also access a staff listing for the PDHPE department, or send feedback to RuseID about the PDHPE site.

Course Outline & Syllabus Resources

This page contains links to official syllabus documents for the PDHPE course for years 7-10. Each syllabus document gives detailed descriptions of each individual skill or piece of knowledge that is covered in the course and expected for students to learn.

Student Resources

From here you can access information about the compulsory fitness tests, rules for a wide variety of sports, as well as assessment notices and permission notes related to each grade. Every grade's page also contains a summary of the theory and practical components covered in the year's course.

Lastly, the Sport section covers the wide variety of competitive sporting activities that take place across the school. These include the three annual carnivals, grade sport (both summer and winter), as well as the traditional James Ruse vs. Cumberland Gala Day for Year 7.

This is part of a series of posts highlighting various areas on the intranet. You can read other similar articles on featured content below:
